BC Necklace with Roosevelt Dimes

  

Vintage (late 1940's) Bear Claw Necklace with all handmade bench beads including 12 beads made of domed Roosevelt silver dimes soldered together to make the larger beads. All 8 black bear claws are real claws capped in sterling silver. One unique feature of this piece is the way claws are capped. After each claw was capped A silver pin was inserted through the cap and through the claws so that the claws would never come out of the cap. I am including a copy of the 1940's owners BIA enrollment In the Cherokee Nation. She was from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The necklace measures 22 ¾ inches in length. Large bottom claws measure approximately 2¾ inches. The necklace is accompanied with the original leather pouch.
